Let recap some of these changes introduced and how they will impact advertisers in year 2018.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"482\" height=\"104\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3789 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.karooya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/bing-ads.png\" alt=\"bing ads\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Making Expanded Text Ads More Compatible<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After launching Expanded Text Ads on its platform, they introduced two new features to make it easy to <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/march-2017\/bing-ads-makes-it-easy-to-create-expanded-text-ads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">migrate and adopt the new format<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ad Extension Update<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bing Ads made it easier to schedule your Ad Extensions with the launch of <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/january-2017\/new-ad-extensions-scheduling-from-bing-ads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ad Extension Scheduling<\/a>, made\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/september-2017\/improve-your-ad-extension-management-with-account-level-association-for-extensions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ad extension management<\/a>\u00a0available for account level association,\u00a0 introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/september-2017\/new-url-tracking-parameters-for-ad-extensions-locations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new tracking parameters<\/a> to help advertisers ascertain the ad extension that led to the click and the geographical location from where the click happened and announced <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/august-2017\/make-your-ad-stand-out-with-callout-extension-opportunities\">Callout Extension Opportunity<\/a> to view the metrics that might help advertisers in deciding to adopt callout.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enhanced CPC Performance and Desktop Bid Adjustment Updated<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bing Ads <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/august-2016\/get-more-conversions-with-the-new-enhanced-cpc-bid-strategy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">introduced Enhanced CPC<\/a> last year, and this year they shared how <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/february-2017\/bing-ads-advertisers-getting-results-with-enhanced-cpc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ECPC<\/a> has been able to gain tremendous response from its advertisers. Here\u2019s why you should give it a try and how.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.karooya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/bing-ads-ecpc.png\" alt=\"bing ads ecpc\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They also updated their <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/june-2017\/expanded-device-targeting-desktop-bid-adjustment-update\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Desktop bid adjustment<\/a> which can now be completely set to -100% now in syn with other device types.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Updates Made to Keywords\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bing Ads imposed restriction on<a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/march-2017\/trademark-enforcement-changes-coming-march-27,-2017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> using trademarks as keywords<\/a>, however the use of trademarks in ad copy will remain untouched.<\/p>\n<p>They announced updates made to the <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/august-2017\/drive-more-volume-exact-match-close-variants-updates\">exact match close variants<\/a> by also including reordered keywords, similar to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.karooya.com\/blog\/old-vs-new-exact-match-type-keyword-what-will-changed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AdWords announcement<\/a>\u00a0about the same.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Account Multi-Linking, Daily Budget and Automated Imports<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bing Ads rolled out <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/october-2017\/connect-your-accounts-easily-with-multi-linking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Multi-linking<\/a> to empower advertisers with multiple account management and discussed how advertisers can take advantage of this new feature.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.karooya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/multi-link-accounts-bing-ads.png\" alt=\"multi-link accounts bing ads\" \/>\n<p>With the <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/january-2017\/stay-on-top-of-campaigns-across-platforms-with-automated-imports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new Automated Imports<\/a>, advertisers can now automatically sync their AdWords campaigns with Bing Ads. So, now you don\u2019t have to spend time manually making the updates and manage campaigns across both platforms effectively.<\/p>\n<p>They also moved out from <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-in\/blog\/post\/march-2017\/monthly-budgets-will-migrate-this-april-are-you-ready\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monthly budgets to daily budgets<\/a>, which was made mandatory by the end of April, this year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Introducing Labels and Improvements Made to Upgraded URL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bing Ads has made some improvements to <a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/september-2017\/ad-management-update-test-landing-pages-and-filter-by-url\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Upgraded URLs<\/a> that will help advertisers in testing landing pages to find any issues with it and new filtering options for keywords or ads.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/advertise.bingads.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/post\/august-2017\/you-can-now-augment-performance-data-with-labels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Labels<\/a> were added to the Bing Ads accounts all across the world.
