The quarter 3 saw updates and improvements by Bing Ads and AdWords, made on existing features as well as launch of new options to make advertiser’s PPC task more simplified. Here is a recap of the top news from this quarter.

1. Google responds to Apple’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention with AdWords tracking update

Earlier this month, Google updates the way it captures campaign and conversion data in order to comply with the Intelligent Tracking Prevention initiative by Apple.

 

2. Get a panoramic view of your data with dashboards

Google will be rolling out the new dashboard that will be updated with all the important reports and insights about you business’s PPC activities.

3. Bing Ads Announcements

Bing made some key announcements this quarter. They introduced new remarketing bid adjustment that lets advertisers adjust your bids of your audience lists, the countdown ad customizer with which the ad is automatically updated with the countdown of an upcoming event, associating ad extensions at account level and labels to help augment performance data.

 

4. Speed up your search text ads with AMP landing pages

In the coming weeks Google will be launching using the fast loading AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) landing pages for your search text ads and ensure a better landing page experience.

 

5. LinkedIn Website Demographics & New Analytic Feature

LinkedIn released the Website Demographics, that gives insight into what professional background the audiences are coming from and analytics features  that lets advertisers translate how their campaigns are performing and gain insights to optimize their performance

 

6. AdWords Call only ads to show ad extensions and the new call bid adjustments

With these two announcement Google updated the call-only ads with ad extensions to help advertises display more relevant information alongside their ads and call bid adjustments to help advertisers control when they wish to show the call option with their search ad.

7. Updates to Clicks and Impression Reporting

Facebook announced two new metric updates the last week. One was the removal of unwanted ad clicks and the other was an optimized overview of campaign impression reporting.
