What is Custom Negative Terms?
With this option, users can add a new keyword manually that has not been listed in the recommendations given by our Negative Keywords Tool. They can also use this option to view the performance data of a term to determine whether they should add it as negative keyword or not.
For instance, if there is a multi-word keyword you can test it to check the performance of select terms from the keyword. This helps drill down the terms to determine its relevancy. For example, for a suggested negative keyword such as black shoes for men, you can search for the performance of a terms from the keyword such as black shoes, and a basis that decides the action to be taken.
How to use it?
Step 1: Go to your account dashboard and select all campaigns or an individual campaign
Step 1: Click on the ‘Add Custom‘ button on the right side
Step 3: In the following pop-up box, add the details, check the performance data and then assign it to a Negative Keyword List (optional)
In the above box, the terms under ‘Included Similar Terms‘ will be added as negative terms along with the search term entered by the user. You can remove the terms from this space if required.
Note: Using our Negative Keywords Tool helps block irrelevant terms and save on your ad spend as you will end up blocking the terms not bringing enough conversions.
